COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS-DISTRICT ONE, SEPT. 9

What: Community Connection-District One Forum
Where: Homecoming Apartments, Community Room on Kokomo Dr. in Creekside.

This will be a great chance for community members tell Angelique your concerns so she can work to address them over the next 4 years.

This is the first of a three part series of interactive forums intended to outline the top concerns of residents and business owners in District 1.

She takes office on November 23, 2010 and she wants to be ready to go - Day 1.

METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION PLAN WORKSHOPS

The Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG) is a land use and transportation planning agency for the region including Sacramento, El Dorado, Placer, Sutter, Yolo, and Yuba counties. As part of the transportation planning process, SACOG updates the Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) every four years. The MTP includes investments in transit, freeways, roadways, and bike and pedestrian facilities.

This report identifies how well SASD met its annual targets, including its responsiveness to customer calls, performance of its sewer collection system, and customer satisfaction. The District reviews this report to see where it can adjust staffing, equipment, and processes to optimize performance in the areas that are most important for its customers.

Freeway Graffiti reporting and more on Caltrans Website

Notice any graffiti on I-80 or I-5? You can report it online to Caltrans through their website by filling out an online maintenance request. Not just graffiti but other freeway requests can be reported to caltrans like seeing a sign down or potholes in the freeway.

ADOPT A PARK

The NCA Parks Committee works with neighbors and the City to develop and maintain parks in all of Natomas. Some of our currently active projects are developing North Natomas Regional Park, getting important amenities and programs added to our neighborhood and community parks and establishing an Adopt A Park program with the City in which interested residents volunteer to help the City maintain area parks.

Natomas Police Resource Center

The Natomas Police and Community Resource Center opened on Saturday, December 6, 2008.
It is located on 2701 Del Paso Road, Suite 140, inside the Safeway shopping center. The resource center creates an interface with the city and an opportunity to increase police presence in North Natomas, along with a place where neighbors can go to file an online police report — a service that is expected to be appreciated by the community. The Center hours vary from month to month, but come by and visit.



New City Guide to Residential Permits

The Development Services Department is pleased to announce that we have a new Guide to Residential Permits. This 17 page, tabbed guide book will assist our customers with why and what permits they need to get. These booklets are available at our Downtown and North Permit Public Counters as well as online.
